Songs of the tides they whisper of kings distant and grand

Giants who command the fridged wastes and bow to no land

From the forlorn South and the perilous North

In times long forgotten they waged a war

The great one sleeps to dream of terrible times

Such nightmares call creatures with numberless crimes

Upon themselves the task was taken so the kings came forth

The invaders shook the pair to the very core

For the first time they met and fought as brothers

The threats soon retreated to a realm of the other

The battle was through but one thing remained to be seen

Which of the two could claim their title

Turning on each other the brave warriors came to blows

Lord of the South struck first only so that the North could know

Though the days wore on until the winner none could glean

Battered and broken the kings both moved on something vital

The North claimed the South and the Southern stole his rival's domain

Instead of new lands to roam they each found the enemy remains

Never fading the hate boiled as sure as an inferno

Their arms never fell and spirits refused to waver

To this very day the kings still keep the nightmares silent

The titans continue to war on each other forever violent

Terrible power of the greatest volcano

The titles they try to claim keeps them from favour

Just playing about with a few words and constructed this, the first of possibly many songs I will craft for KAS monsters and events. They will not be restricted to my own monsters and what happens around them, I have several similar songs planned for TOR as well as a few other events. Now I know this might seem a bit fourth-wall-breaking but that is only because you don't know who composed them. I have an idea for a character I am working on, currently she has no name but she functions as a wandering bard who takes in the great deeds and strengths of kaiju or even humans if they manage to catch her attention. She is a kinda weak elemental of air who just floats about, she is obsessed with music, poems and even disjointed humor. I don't have a name for her yet but she most certainly has a backstory, which will be composed into it's own pain in the ass song/rhyme which I am going to forever hate myself for.

The song is meant to be sung in a slow haunting melody, almost as if it is being chanted. I imagine it is often done to lazy string music and the soft beating of tribal drums.

In any case this song is about Imperior the king penguin kaiju who rules the Northern Arctic while Destimus the tyrant polar bear rules the Southern expanse. As you might have noticed this has not always been true, they originally kept to the ranges native of their base species, Imperior to the South and Destimus to the North, but in a fit of rage after several weeks of fighting with each other, they both tried to take over each other's land and...well, sort of succeed, trouble is they both had the same idea and just switched places. As to what the great nightmare and enemies are that is for K to unleash, the two kings just wanted to clean out their respective kingdoms until they both realized that neither could be the king of all ice if the other still lived.

This is the backstory of the song, my elemental bard crafted a song around it, spinning the tale into immortality.

Not sure when I'll end up submitting this to KAS since it's still struggling to get off the ground.

PS: I have found the 'center align' button...I will never not use it now!
