Name: Thilla (The Pink Thrilla)
Species: Artificially Grown Flamingo
Alignment: Rogue

Height: 99 meters
Length: 70 meters
Mass: 73,000 tons
Wingspan: 48 meters

Powers:

Spear Wings- Thilla's arms are highly modified wings and while she is unable to fly with these thick boned limbs, the bird can hit with impressive force. The claw of her wing is a long spear like weapon, it might be dull, but by the pure power behind the avian's attacks can drive it through just about any armor known. More often then not these are tucked back towards the kaiju as Thilla travels by using a gorilla like walk, pressing her wrists to the ground, some what similar to what the giant sloth was supposed to do. The spears are insanely tough, but accidents happen and this mode of transportation keeps them from connecting to the rock and dirt of the terrain and possibly damaging them. In battle they can also be swung sideways, used more like a club then a stabbing tool. To protect her wrists, Thilla has scute like plates that  grip into the ground, though in a pinch she can strike out in a punching motion to hit her foes with the plates, something like brass knuckles.

Flightless Girth- No longer needing to be light, Thilla's bones are solid all the way through and make up a good part of her weight. Added to it all the muscle and fat the kaiju needs to keep itself alive and you have one very heavy bird. She is hard to move at the best of times and when Thilla devotes her full weight to an attack the target is often crusted with ease.

Sky Hook- The beak of a flamingo or any filter feeding bird is not often a weapon and even with the option she will most likely forsake her beak for her deadly arms. The beak itself has a few small scute like plates that overlaps some spikes and while she doesn't even have an edge to her beak, though when Thilla's neck flashes down there is a ton of muscle behind it, which negates the need for a cutting surface. The attack is quick and sudden, the avian aims for the head and eyes so that she can stun her targets and line them up for a finishing blow.

Aquatic Ambush- Thilla spends most of her time in and around water and the giant is at her deadliest when she can switch between the two. Her feathers can reflect certain kinds of light and with water further obscuring the light she can vanish under the waves. Combined with her large lungs and long neck, Thilla may stay under water for up to four hours between breaths. When she does need air the bird only tips part of her beak above the water to suck in air through her nose holes, which are located at the tip of her bill, then se goes back down to wait another four hours. Being nearly invisible as long as she is in the water, Thilla can launch her attacks before her target knows what is going on and considering her size, that one second of confusion is all she really needs to end a nosy monster or mecha.

Weakness:

Lacking Range- Though the monster has an impressive reach, it doesn't really make up for a good ranged attack. Being slow on land hampers her even more when smaller and faster foes can just pelt Thilla from a distance and wear her down over time. This weakness is doubled when faced with flying attackers, unlike her partner Sauranea, Thilla is flightless and can't take to the sky when her attackers try hit and run tactics.

No True Defense- Like Sauranea, this monster does not have a true defense, her flesh is protected only by a coating of soft feathers and not much else.

Finisher:
Filtered Death- First using a peck to the head to stun her foe, Thilla then lines up a spear with the monster's neck before stabbing it through. Most of the time that is all she does, but if it is a small monster she will pop the head clean off. She will then steady her kill with her arms while drinking as much blood as she can from the flowing wound, filtering out all she needs before leaving the drained body for the scavengers.

Personality: One would think a flamingo would be a skittish monster, hardly even enough of a threat to spit at. Thilla is far from that ideal. She guards the small coast below Sauranea's cave with every inch of her strength and cares not what faction or species her foe is. This kaiju has even been noted swallowing whole dolphin pods that get too close to the shore, hardly anything is too small or too large for her rage. That being said, she shares a close bond with Sauranea, treating the giant swan as her mother and the pair will often join forces to utterly destroy any and all who try to steal a peak inside Sauranea's nest. Sauranea sees the flamingo as more of a sister then a child, this view strains their relationship a tad as both want different things out of it, but at the end of the day they are a team. Swinging between violently protective and loving, Thilla is often a hard kaiju to understand and even harder to face on the battle field, a monster who should not be taken lightly even if she is pink.

Description:  Not all that much has changed from the flamingo head, a rounded orb like skull with a good sized bill that tips down at an odd angle. Starting at the tip the bill is covered in overlapping plate like armor with small spikes growing out around the edges. Thilla's eyes are built a little higher on her head with small ridges over them, while this does limit her vision somewhat it lets her focus in her targets easier. At the bottom of the skull is where the neck starts, going straight down at a slightly slanted angle until it connects with her broad shoulders. The next itself is similar to a therizinosaur neck though longer, more flexible and a bit thinner. Her body seems to be made entirely at an angle, with her chest and shoulders facing forwards, lower back pointed down as her short-ish tail strafes out over the ground. Back to the chest and shoulders, they are very strong, shower a very powerful upper body. Attached to those shoulders are two gorilla like arms which are muscle on top of muscle and touch the ground at about where the wrist would be, with the single claw pointing backwards. In the front of the wrists is a group of armored scutes which protect her soft skinned body as she uses her wrists to 'knuckle-walk' her way over land. The backwards facing claw is stretched out into a long spear like weapon that is a bit longer than Thilla's forearm and tucks against it when traveling or is pulled forwards similar to a mantis claw when attacking. Thilla's back legs also very powerful, at times she can tuck in her arms and center her weight backwards onto her hips so that she might run on two legs, though this is normally for charging about and rushing her foes as it takes too much energy to do normally. The bird's back legs are very powerful and are built much like any avian leg, ending in three ostrich like toes that are connected by a thin webbing. Thilla's tail only seems short because of the angle of her body and because her neck sticks straight up instead of out. It lacks any real character other then a small fan of feathers at the tip, most likely for display as they fold up close to her tail when the bird is resting. The kaiju is covered in loose down like feathers, though they resemble a penguin's quill more then any other water bird. Color wise, Thilla's back and tail are blood red with at thin line of red traveling from her shoulders and going up to a small spot at the back of her head. The rest of her head and neck is bright pink. So are her arms from the elbow down and the legs from the knees to the ankles where she lacks feathers. The pink extends passed her stomach and a little ways beyond underneath the base of her tail, but from there on the red takes over. Thilla's beak is a dull stone like grey, so are her feet from the ankles, one can guess that is the color of her flesh just under the feathers to if any space was showing.

Origin: After about ten years of Sauranea loyally pumping out monsters and sickening jokes, that which her creator feared the most happened. She was attacked by a monster who was within her weight class and while at the time of her birth a kaiju of such size was largely unheard of, only a short time later there was one who could try. The foe was a giant abomination named Gluttorous, a turkey mutant with a taste for blood and a cannibalistic mind set. The two monsters clashed as Sauranea struggled to protect her eggs from the monster who craved their taste as well as her own flesh. The turkey was a powerful offensive fighter, his double bladed jaws taking giant bites out of Sauranea who fought back with a titanic tail whip to the beast's neck. In the end Gluttorous was forced to flee, but not without damaging the swan kaiju greatly and devouring at least four of her prized eggs. Enraged her creator began plans for a guardian of sorts, though he couldn't have just any beast take the job, a monster who Sauranea saw as a foreign invade would be attacked and there was no guaranty that the beast would feel the need to protect the swan. So the madman hatched a plan, starting with an animal fairly close to Sauranea's own base species, he tossed in some genetic material from the swan herself as well as some therizinosaur for good measure. He then placed this jumble of DNA inside of one of Sauranea's remaining eggs, waiting for it to grow and thrive. When it hatched the creature instantly felt a bond with the giant avian hovering over her and so did Sauranea. The swan protected her small charge for three months as little Thilla grew to reach her full size. In the beginning her colors were rather drab, as the bird had to filter mostly seaweed and smaller animals to feed. This lasted until her first true fight with a giant badger. It wasn't an easy fight due to her foe's strength and great anger, but Thilla won in the end. This was when she discovered just how tasty and fulfilling blood was and began to drink hundreds of gallons of the stuff. After a few similar fights and feastings, her color changed dramatically to that of her new food source with a few shades of pink. Her creator could only sit back and marvel, he had made the perfect watchdog, one with a personal bond to the monster factory she was guarding, which made sure she would die before being defeated. As he leaned back in his recliner chair, watching some video of the last battle, the man could only smile and utter a cryptic phrase "A giant clawed flamingo of death… Beat that One-Eye!" his challenge tossed to an unknown rival.
(Thil-a) Her name is based on a joke Gil hashes out every once in a while "Thrilla in Minilla" of course I added a tag on to her name for kicks to further tribute that part.

Sooo, a flamingo kaiju. I had her pretty much planned out from the moment i thought her up and with an ape/protosaurapod/therizinosaur like body type I thought she made a great partner for 'Nea. I did kinda build her in the sawn's image and for fun Glutt' is showing up for a battle or two. Three heavy weight avian kaiju in one place for the same price...damn I wish I made this for Black Friday. lol

Anywho, tribute wise she is a good nod to my pal Gil's main monster Dikorus or 'Big D' who really helped in nailing down Thilla's body design and shape. The bit at the end is a nod from my insane kaiju making character 'Nutjob' to Gil's who is often known as Cameraman. Since a camera has a single lens I thought the nickname 'One-Eye' was fitting. Though it brings up images of the guy as Shockwave style cyborg. It's also a bit of a stab at the competition between me and Gil to create stranger and stranger monsters. Hehe. Other then that she doesn't have many tributes.

One of the main things about her was "What would a giant filter feeder eat?" and when you think about it, at that size she could filter a rhino if she felt like it so no problem there. But this style of eating gave me a thought, it could easily be turned into blood drinking which helped fuel my flamingo from hell and back. Because the birds feathers are often colors by what they eat, I changed them from all pink to blood red and just pink in a few places where her coloring is wearing off.

All and all I think a did a good job and I claim the first flamingo kaiju on DA. Why? Because no one wanted to make it and that is all I needed!

I hope you all were tossed for a loop. This is Raven, over and out....same kaiju time, same kaiju channel! (Damn you hub for bringing back those old Batman shows!)

Okay, this is badass. Indeed, it was just a matter of time before you made up a flamingo, but man! I'd never thought you'd come up with a therizimingo, let alone a vampiric one!
I utterly love her, man. Excellent work, as ever.
