Powers:

Archetype Shift- It is unknown how Blandster uses this skill, but somehow he creates new matter and adds it to his existing body, growing in size and strength. He can also reject matter to gain his small, more dinosaur like body shape and doesn't seem to be able to go smaller then this. However, some children share stories of human or dog sized reptiles coming out of the woods to play with them, so his minimum size is still haughtily debated. In any case this unexplained power lets him become as strong as the tallest monster or as small as the sleeker beasts who rely on speed and agility instead of raw power. While Blandster can shift freely to any mix of his shapes, there are a few body types he assumes often and have been coined "archetypes" of the kaiju world, using his own body as a template for basing the other giant monsters.

Reset Regeneration- Blandster has a very powerful regeneration, as many kaiju of his type do, but his does not seem to work in the same manner. Instead of regenerating or growing back, the wounds just seem to vanish with a low popping sound, as if the flesh was being filled in from elsewhere. More puzzling is the fact that this kaiju doesn't seem to feel pain, at least not in the way that you or me might. This has gone to the point that the USA as well as other countries take the opportunity to test new weapons on the monster who is only too happy to stand there and watch as he is torn apart. Given this odd habit, the reason why he fears other monsters is unknown.

Degrees of Flame- Like more infamous reptilian kaiju, Blandosaur is able to breath fire, though he can end up burning himself if he isn't careful. This leads many to believe that the fire comes from somewhere else and not the lizard's gullet, similar to the theories behind his regeneration. In any case, as he gains size and power the breath changes. At his smallest it is just a green colored flame thrower, good for scorching wide areas at a time, but has no real ompf behind it. The next size up has a yellow flame and the breath is a little more concentrated. The one after that has an orange fire and is strong enough to push back small to medium sized creatures. Red is the color of the forth breath and is the first true beam, being able to burn through armor and knock large kaiju off their feet. From there it becomes blue and is able to do some massive destruction and if a direct hit doesn't kill a monster, it will be missing a limb or two. The last breath is pure white and belongs to his largest body, this beam can travel in a straight line and go through several building and still retain the power to obliterate any kaiju who doesn't have stupid amounts of armor or enough sense to get out of the way. It should also be noted that his fire is just fire, it is not atomic or have any extra properties other then being a highly concentrated flame.

Weakness:

Lizard Persona- Bladster might become a real threat if he wasn't such a coward most of the time. Even at his max weight and height he acts more like a normal lizard then the tower of strength he has suddenly become.

Thriller Lizard- When Blandster hears music of any sort or any type, he just has to dance. It is quite simple to just lead the giant with a few well placed speakers, making him one of the easiest monsters to defeat.

Finisher:
What's that Blandy?- If by some fluke a monster manages to push Bladster into fighting and furthermore into being beaten to near death. Blandster will stop what he is doing, switch to his fastest form and run to the closest GDF base. Once there he will jump up and down while making a pathetic howling sound until a mecha unit comes out. Blandster will then nip at the machine's heels before running off to show the mecha the way to the now helpless monster.

Personality: Blandster is a hard monster to pin down in this area, as he often lingers around human cities or GDF units, but seems afraid of just about everything half his size and larger. He seems to have a very strong affection for humans in general and has been known to follow children for miles at a time. It is not unknown to see the giant reptile following school busses, wowing kids and spooking adults as he travels. When more aggressive monsters are around he will do one of two things, the first is run away as fast as his limbs can carry him and the second is just stand there and let himself be attacked. Blandster will only use the second option when young humans are endangered and if the foe monster tries to get around the lizard to attack them he might be pushed into one of his rare fights. Strangely he has no fear of the human military and will stand in one spot and be blasted for hours, even in his weakest form he just shrugs off the pain and tilts his head, almost as if he is trying to understand some game that is going on.

Description: Do to the monster's shape changing powers, only things that do not change between all his forms or change dramatically will be listed here. To start with his smallest form has a horizontal stance and as he gets larger he becomes more erect and humanoid until he is a moving block of strength in his sixth body. The length and size of all his limbs and body structure change through his process. One of the things that stays the same is the coloring of his scales, it stays a lime green no matter what happens to him. His eyes also stay the same, they are large wide orbs on the side of his head with a single yellow slit in the center, similar to a feline. They can broadcast a large range of emotion as the lid sweeps across them, he can communicate in a fashion by exaggerating his motions through them until even the dimmest human child can understand what he wants. Blandster's jaws hold very thin fangs, in fact no matter what body he takes they are almost always the size and length of a human arm. While they are rather sharp, they are no where near that needed to be effective weapons against other monsters. In fact, at a distance they are almost invisible against hiss large frame. The lips that slide over his fangs are rather expressive and have a near human level of movement, to the point that Blandster can pout and smile, though they look rather creepy since he doesn't understand the full meaning of those actions. His head is large and oval in shape, much like what is thought to be his base species. But as he gets larger, his head widens a bit until his narrow shaped jaws look almost duck like. At the back of his skull are two lumps of flesh that hang off his head, they can be raised, lowered or drawn back against his skull in much the same way ears can be, in fact just below them are his ear-holes. They don't have much a shape other then being round and slightly pointed at the tips. One of the things that changes the most is the number of fingers on his claws, in his smallest form they are only three, but after that every other form gains a finger until at his sixth he has a total of five. He also has a single row of spines going down his back. At his smallest body they look pretty much like spikes, rounded on all sides with a point at the tips. But as he becomes larger, they start to flatten out and become duller at the tips until they look like fins in his last body. The spines will glow when Bladster breaths his fire, the color depends on what form he is in and it mimics that of the fire he breaths. If he is between forms then the color will be whatever body type he is closest to at the time. One other thing that stays the same in all his bodies is the number of toes on his feet which stay at the round number of three. They will be more splayed out or strengthened depending on the type of support he needs at the time. While it goes through it's own changes, the tail stays basically the tail, a long near prehensile limb that ends in a small point.

Origin: Kaiju in general are mysteries, not many know where the giants come from and the few we do tend to have very different backgrounds. But Blandster is a whole other kettle of fish. Several have stepped forwards with stories of what they think is the starting point of the reptile, but no one with half a brain-cell listens to them. One says that Blandster is a lizard who was hit by the atomic wave of a nuke, another that the beast was a lizard who was sucked into an alternate dimension and mutated into what he is now. The list goes on and and on, while no one is really sure which story is true, as all the witnesses claim that it is so, the lizard doesn't seem to mind what he is and will continue to watch humans as we might ant-farms.
